Zbären Kreativküchen AG from Lenk says of itself: "Our customers' wishes are our greatest potential." A philosophy that runs through the entire planning and manufacturing process of the tradition-rich company. Whether classic, modern or rustic - the family business knows no limits in terms of design.
The Swiss company produces fine kitchens for customers from all over the world - from London and Monaco to New York and Bermuda. Particularly appreciated are the union of traditional craftsmanship in dealing with high-grade materials, the uncompromising quality and the modern technology that makes each kitchen a truly unique piece. In 2010, they decided to invest in a suitable software and finally came across imos during the team's own research. A convincing argument was the possibility to generate a continuous data flow from work preparation to the machine.
The effort required for work preparation has been noticeably reduced. Furthermore, it is also possible to order on the basis of the material list generated from imos. So we don't have to recount the fittings or calculate the area of the panel material again.
It was particularly important to the current managing directors Matthias and Benjamin Zbären that their WEEKE Vantage 38L and the WEEKE ABD 150 can be optimally controlled by the software and that the programming effort is reduced. Here, the imos software has the advantage that the required CNC data can be derived directly from the 3D design and transferred to the machines. The output of parts and cutting lists is also automatic.
Due to the interconnection of software and machine, there is nothing that cannot be done in planning and production.
Today, all kitchens that leave the factory are planned and produced with imos. The decision in favor of imos was based, among other things, on the fact that many components can be defined on the basis of variables and mortised fronts with diverse profiles and counter profiles are easy to generate.
With imos, you have the possibility to create very good templates, which then also standardize the workflow in the workshop. When you define design principles and component characteristics, you automatically create standards for the store. Automatic NC generation takes a lot of work away. For simple projects, the advantage is the speed of work preparation. With complex projects, errors are often detected during planning, since everything is visible in 3D.
Every year, around 60 kitchens are custom-made and delivered. Managing Director Benjamin Zbären says: "The best part of the job is when the customer is thrilled with the result." And where he is right...
